So well said Chris. As I’ve gained in years and gained a bit of wisdom in the process (the gained wisdom part may be a stretch but sounds good …lol), i continuously make that effort to live in the moment. That, in fact, is life and is living. The interesting and other fulfilling aspect to this practice is that it actually facilitates my efforts at living a more Christ like life.
I appreciate all you do Chris. Your work, while I’m sure quite demanding and frustrating at times, is SO needed. Keep it up … you make the world a better place. Thank you!!!
Congratulations on marking your ‘being present’ moment!! As parents it is so challenging to accomplish this along with all the other responsibilities we have. However, it is the most important activity, in my mind, to be present in. Our parenting is an investment – a long term one at that. I can’t wait for you to experience Maddy’s reflection as an adult when she reminds you of your Taylor Swift moment or finds a way to duplicate your ‘being present’ with her own children! Love you and what you do to serve God and bless us all!
I so appreciate you Pastor Chris. Some trials (what’s new!- smile) right now. It is so easy for me to get caught up in the “what ifs” for the future and then I’m sad. Your post is such a good reminder for me to live in the present and ENJOY it. Thanks. I have a plaque that says, “waiting for tomorrow is a waste of today” Hmmm…

I need to hear this OFTEN. Just as I did tonight. Thank you God for bringing me to this church.
