This one put a smile on my face and relieved some tension i had been feeling towards a fellow sinner. Here’s the story Chris … I run to bank yesterday to grab some cash out of the ATM. All of the parking slots are taken except one handicap slot in front of the ATM. “Haha” I thought to myself, “this shouldn’t take more than 11 seconds and I’ll be out of here.” Into the slot I go, run up to the atm machine, grab the cash, dart back to the truck and low & behold ….there’s this young man, a parking enforcement officer, blocking my exit strategy. He had me dead to rights and I was quite upset with him although I didn’t verbalize it. Turns out he sits at the location frequently waiting for easy ‘pickings’ so to speak. He coldly handed me a $350 parking ticket, gave a smirk, and drove off. What I wanted to do to him can’t be written here. The scenario bothered me all night and into this morning.
Your words in the 2 minute message SO reminded me of my days as an officer in south central LA. So many times, more than I care to remember, I had that same attitude in dealing with the gang member / bad guys I dealt with then. Yes, I was a huge sinner and still am :))
Long story short, my upset mind has gone into peace mode after your message Chris … as big a sinner as that young man was yesterday towards me (serious laugh here), I am reminded of my own fallen human qualities. Forgive, love, and move forward …thanks Chris. Hope this wasn’t too much comment…..and by the way the ticket is paid.

Thanks, this was the perfect message for “Good Friday” for this “sinner”. So thankful for our loving, gracious Savior and your thoughtful encouraging message.

“What can wash my sins away – nothing but the blood of Jesus!…..O precious is the flow that makes me white as snow; no other fount I know. Nothing but the blood of Jesus.” While we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Thank You Jesus. The things I want to do, I don’t. And the things I don’t want to do, I do. Thank God that we are saved by His grace and not our “good works”!
