I am not ashamed of you

shameville“I am not ashamed of you”

(This is an excerpt from Charles Slagle’s book, From the Father’s Heart, a series of letters written as if from God that expresses His Father’s heart and love)[1]

Diligent Disciple,

I AM not ashamed of you. You have embarrassed yourself, but you have not embarrassed Me. Not in the least.

I give you time to learn and space to grow because, as a wise Father, I know your welfare depends on your having actual knowledge, born of experience. Those who speak otherwise—saying My holiness demands instant perfection and flawless performance—know nothing of fatherhood and misrepresent Me in their ignorance.

My ways are not the ways of men. I AM not one to worry about outward appearances, and neither do I fret over the blunders of My children. I look at the heart. Don’t you remember? I see all. In fact, I can see no other way. All is all I ever see. So how can One who sees everything at all times ever worry about anything at any time?

I thought you’d enjoy the reminder…

Love,

Dad
