    Amen. Great word Chris.
The Christian is to live life from the inside-out, instead of from the outside-in. When we let circumstances, events, materials, or externals dictate how we think, feel, and act then we’re living poorly and become targets for the enemy of our souls. Yes, those externals influence us but, living deliberately, transparently, and fully as the Holy Spirit leads us, in accordance with His Word and out of love is the blessing, the mantle, and the mandate for the Christian. We become the city set on a hill. The Holy Spirit leads us in this transformation into the character of Jesus Christ (Romans 8:29) who “become” His brothers.
Ann Voskamp writes in her book “1000 Gifts, A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are”: “Practice is the hardest part of learning, and training is the essence of transformation.” We are on that narrow, rocky, and wonderful road if He is our Lord. Love and live well.

I really like this comment about love. I am a Catholic, and today we celebrate St Therese of Lisieux. She sought the scriptures to discern what her vocation in life should be. She was reading 2nd Corinthians, in which Paul was speaking about the gifts that we are all given by God: some are given the gift of prophecy, some the gift of teaching, but the best gift which we can give to all we meet is the gift of love. How true, and what a good thing for all of us to remember, to show love to all we meet. Blessings to you and all you do. Patti Parra
